GV2 Stella Solare

GV2 Stella Solare

GV2 Stella Solare – Swiss Solar Precision. Elevated.

Boldly contemporary yet driven by the eternal power of light, the GV2 Stella Solare is a commanding timepiece designed for the modern man who expects performance without compromise—and distinction in every detail.

Design That Commands Attention

Crafted from 44mm of finely polished 316L stainless steel, the round case makes a powerful statement—substantial on the wrist, yet refined in silhouette.
Its dial, reminiscent of the night sky just before dawn, is framed by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, offering both clarity and quiet strength.
A rubber strap with a seamless deployment buckle adds a subtle yet unmistakable contrast—athletic in spirit, luxurious in execution.
Water resistance to 50 meters (5 ATM) ensures durability in everyday settings—whether navigating the city or escaping it.

Engineered by Light: Swiss Ronda 212 Solar Movement

At its core is the Swiss-made Ronda Solartech 212—a solar-powered quartz movement that exemplifies precision engineering and technical sophistication.

  • Solar-powered accumulator stores energy from any light source—sunlight or artificial.
  • Delivers up to eight months of power reserve on a full charge, with no need for battery changes.
  • Quick-start functionality gets the watch ticking in under a minute of bright exposure.
  • A power-saving crown function reduces consumption by 70%, ideal for those who alternate timepieces.

This is not just smart—it’s sustainably Swiss, with the sharp accuracy and reliability expected of a GV2.

Stella Solare: Where Light Meets Legacy

Meaning “Solar Star” in Italian, Stella Solare is a tribute to brilliance—the natural brilliance of light, and the brilliance of a man who leads with clarity, conviction, and quiet confidence.

The history of Gevril watches is a story that combines an illustrious watchmaking past with an innovative modern revitalization. The company origins date back to the mid-18th century and Jacques Gevril, the gifted Swiss watchmaker who is the founder and inspiration of the eponymous brand.

Today the Gevril name endures thanks to the vision of a Swiss horologist and businessman who lifted the brand to its current heights as an established Swiss watch company.

Jacques Gevril was an up-and-coming watch and clockmaker in 1758 when he accompanied his colleague Pierre Jaquet-Droz on a trip to Madrid. There, the men presented a selection of complex musical automata to King Ferdinand VI. The king was so impressed he bought every piece.

Jaquet-Droz returned home the following year but Gevril remained in Spain to fortify his reputation as a master watchmaker and was appointed Royal Watchmaker by the king. Gevril lived in Spain for many years thereafter, refining his craft and producing watches for the Crown.

Gevril’s traditions were survived by future generations of Gevril watchmakers including Moyse Gevril and Daniel Gevril, who built their reputations on horological innovations and artistic enameling techniques.

Today Gevril pocket watches are highly collectible: one is even located in the Muséum Genève and another is part of the collection of the Wilsdorf family, founders of Rolex.
