Gevril Wind Master
Gevril Wind Master
Introducing the Gevril Men's Wind Master Swiss Automatic Watch, a timepiece that captures the essence of innovation and the relentless pursuit of excellence. As part of the distinguished Wind Master Collection, this watch is not only a testament to superior craftsmanship but also a tribute to the groundbreaking advancements in renewable energy, inspired by the pioneering New York Offshore Wind Project.
The Wind Master’s design exudes both robustness and refinement, featuring a 44mm round stainless-steel case with alternating satin and polished finishes. This dynamic contrast mirrors the harmony of strength and elegance, while the gray rotating dial takes inspiration directly from the constant movement of wind turbines that power New York's offshore wind farms. Just as these turbines harness the power of nature to generate energy, the rotating dial of the Wind Master symbolizes the ceaseless motion and energy of the wind.
At its heart, the exhibition case back reveals the intricate workings of the Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, echoing the transparency and precision found in modern engineering. The IPGUN screw-down crown ensures water resistance up to 200 meters (20 ATM), making this watch as reliable as it is stylish, even in the most challenging conditions. The luminous hands provide excellent readability in low-light situations, akin to the constant, unwavering performance of wind turbines, regardless of the time of day.
The stainless-steel satin bracelet with a deployment buckle adds durability and comfort, much like the steadfast infrastructure of New York’s offshore wind farms. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal adds an extra layer of protection and clarity, allowing you to admire the craftsmanship beneath without any distractions.
As New York leads the way in sustainable energy with its offshore wind project, Gevril’s Wind Master Collection stands as a symbol of this new era of innovation, where tradition meets cutting-edge technology. The rotating dial is not just a functional feature but a tribute to the perpetual energy of the wind, which is now being harnessed to power the future. Gevril Wind Master—where time and tide align with the winds of change.

The history of Gevril watches is a story that combines an illustrious watchmaking past with an innovative modern revitalization. The company origins date back to the mid-18th century and Jacques Gevril, the gifted Swiss watchmaker who is the founder and inspiration of the eponymous brand.
Today the Gevril name endures thanks to the vision of a Swiss horologist and businessman who lifted the brand to its current heights as an established Swiss watch company.
Jacques Gevril was an up-and-coming watch and clockmaker in 1758 when he accompanied his colleague Pierre Jaquet-Droz on a trip to Madrid. There, the men presented a selection of complex musical automata to King Ferdinand VI. The king was so impressed he bought every piece.
Jaquet-Droz returned home the following year but Gevril remained in Spain to fortify his reputation as a master watchmaker and was appointed Royal Watchmaker by the king. Gevril lived in Spain for many years thereafter, refining his craft and producing watches for the Crown.
Gevril’s traditions were survived by future generations of Gevril watchmakers including Moyse Gevril and Daniel Gevril, who built their reputations on horological innovations and artistic enameling techniques.
Today Gevril pocket watches are highly collectible: one is even located in the Muséum Genève and another is part of the collection of the Wilsdorf family, founders of Rolex.
