GV2 Bellagio Diamond

GV2 Bellagio Diamond

Attempting to capture the brilliance of GV2's Bellagio collection is a task fit for the daring, yet we willingly embrace the role of the fool to describe this sensational Women's timepiece. The Bellagio Swiss Movement Diamond Watch transcends the realms of luxury; it stands as an exquisite and extraordinary masterpiece that effortlessly commands attention. While the name Bellagio may evoke images of majestic fountains, this timepiece goes beyond expectations, drawing inspiration from the "Pearl of Lake Como"—a charming Italian town known for its glamour and romance. The 30mm square case, adorned with a double diamond-cut ring bezel, creates layers of diamond indulgence that captivate the senses. The silver and white dial, embellished with 8 diamonds in a square formation, adds a third dimension of opulence, a sight to be admired and revered. Exuding grandeur, the Roman numeral hour markers embellish this feast for the eyes, complemented by GV2's impeccable Swiss Quartz movement. Whether embraced by authentic Italian leather strap with a tang buckle or a metaled bracelet with a deployment buckle, both options generously set the stage for Bellagio's push-pull crown adorned with a blue cabochon stone. In the realm of luxury, good things are often found in small packages, and Bellagio epitomizes this concept with the look of layers upon layers of diamonds. Is it over the top? Perhaps, but in the most delightful way. The Bellagio has us all raising our glasses to 'la dolce vita.'

The history of Gevril watches is a story that combines an illustrious watchmaking past with an innovative modern revitalization. The company origins date back to the mid-18th century and Jacques Gevril, the gifted Swiss watchmaker who is the founder and inspiration of the eponymous brand.

Today the Gevril name endures thanks to the vision of a Swiss horologist and businessman who lifted the brand to its current heights as an established Swiss watch company.

Jacques Gevril was an up-and-coming watch and clockmaker in 1758 when he accompanied his colleague Pierre Jaquet-Droz on a trip to Madrid. There, the men presented a selection of complex musical automata to King Ferdinand VI. The king was so impressed he bought every piece.

Jaquet-Droz returned home the following year but Gevril remained in Spain to fortify his reputation as a master watchmaker and was appointed Royal Watchmaker by the king. Gevril lived in Spain for many years thereafter, refining his craft and producing watches for the Crown.

Gevril’s traditions were survived by future generations of Gevril watchmakers including Moyse Gevril and Daniel Gevril, who built their reputations on horological innovations and artistic enameling techniques.

Today Gevril pocket watches are highly collectible: one is even located in the Muséum Genève and another is part of the collection of the Wilsdorf family, founders of Rolex.
