Gevril Lenox Automatic

Gevril Lenox Automatic

Gevril's latest marvel, the Lenox Collection, emerges as the true embodiment of opulence entwined with time-honored indispensability. Embracing the duality of luxury and timelessness, the Lenox resonates with an elegant allure that leaves an indelible mark. It stands as a testament to both audacious simplicity and resolute design, an emblem of strength and assurance, seamlessly melding into the embodiment that is Lenox.

In a realm where opulence reigns supreme, the Lenox transcends conventions, a revelation that luxury need not conform to tradition. Like a symphony composed of Manhattan's storied narratives, this collection bears the legacy of Swiss Automatic Movement, an ode to precision and mastery, while its tachymeter and multifunctional month, day, and date indicator encapsulate a cultural narrative that speaks of cultural prominence.

Akin to an evening of putting on the Ritz or an immersion into the soulful notes of a jazz ensemble, the Lenox collection exudes an inimitable charisma born of its masculine sophistication. Its 44mm stainless steel case, a relic of history, boasts an exhibition back that echoes tales of time gone by. The day and date window, illuminated hands, and markers, however, invite a gaze towards the uncharted territories of the future.

In the grand tapestry of horological opulence, Lenox stands as a beacon of refinement, eschewing ostentatiousness for a quiet elegance, for true wealth whispers where mere currency may shout. It is a manifestation of profound cultural heritage woven into the fabric of affluence, a daily testament that echoes the aspirations of the discerning wearer. The Lenox collection is not just a watch; it is a symphony of identity, a daily affirmation of the journey towards one's aspirations.

The history of Gevril watches is a story that combines an illustrious watchmaking past with an innovative modern revitalization. The company origins date back to the mid-18th century and Jacques Gevril, the gifted Swiss watchmaker who is the founder and inspiration of the eponymous brand.

Today the Gevril name endures thanks to the vision of a Swiss horologist and businessman who lifted the brand to its current heights as an established Swiss watch company.

Jacques Gevril was an up-and-coming watch and clockmaker in 1758 when he accompanied his colleague Pierre Jaquet-Droz on a trip to Madrid. There, the men presented a selection of complex musical automata to King Ferdinand VI. The king was so impressed he bought every piece.

Jaquet-Droz returned home the following year but Gevril remained in Spain to fortify his reputation as a master watchmaker and was appointed Royal Watchmaker by the king. Gevril lived in Spain for many years thereafter, refining his craft and producing watches for the Crown.

Gevril’s traditions were survived by future generations of Gevril watchmakers including Moyse Gevril and Daniel Gevril, who built their reputations on horological innovations and artistic enameling techniques.

Today Gevril pocket watches are highly collectible: one is even located in the Muséum Genève and another is part of the collection of the Wilsdorf family, founders of Rolex.
